About the adventure
Greetings, traveler. Welcome to the waystation for the recently... departed. Take heart, for death is not the end. Your ticket awaits, and the Ghostlight Express is boarding now. Where it carries you, and who you become when you arrive, is yours to weave. This is a slow-burn Folk Horror adventure set in the realm of Druskenvald, a land that exists between dusk and the Witching Hour, lit only by the grinning crescent of the Crooked Moon. Expect strange villagers with even stranger superstitions, creatures pulled straight from old folklore, and a creeping sense that the whole valley is bound up in a plot only one being fully understands. Trust will be hard to come by, and the truth harder still. Your characters will need to unravel local mysteries, forge uneasy alliances, and stand against the darkness. How we'll play: The tone leans toward atmospheric dread over gore, with a mix of investigation, exploration, roleplay, and tense combat. Dark humor and moments of warmth are welcome, since even the eeriest valley has its odd charm. Players who enjoy leaning into character, chasing mysteries, and telling spooky stories together will be right at home. Who it's for: Fans of folk horror, gothic fairy tales, and campfire ghost stories. Whether you've played before or are new to a spooky story at the table, come ready to explore and to question everything you're told.

About me
Hello! I'm Devin, and I've been playing tabletop roleplaying games for over 30 years, both as a player and a Dungeon Master. For the past two years, I've also had the privilege of running a weekly after-school Dungeons & Dragons club at my local library for 4th - 8th grade students. Working with younger players has been a very rewarding part of my experience as a DM. My goal isn't simply to teach kids how to play D&D; it's to create a safe, welcoming environment where they can build confidence, make friends, and use their imaginations. The program had three main goals: Introduction to Dungeons and Dragons: Covering the basic rules, character creation, and game mechanics. Community Building: Creating a safe and welcoming space where kids can work collaboratively with their peers, forging friendships and having adventures. Group Formation: Helping kids gain the skills and confidence to eventually join or start their own D&D groups, fostering teamwork and social interaction. I try to carry the spirit of these goals into every table I run with kids. D&D can be a lifelong hobby that brings so many wonderful things with it. I really want kids to find the same joy I've found with the game and to take that with them well beyond my table.
